When we enter any restaurant for buffet dinner what we usually expect from the buffet restaurant are things like high quality delicious food, variety of different kinds of spreads and efficiency of the service staff. So Feast East buffet at Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel is the certainly the place which can provide you with all the above mentioned things and it is also known as heritage legacy buffet in Singapore. The interior of the Feast East is rather big, though simply decorated but yet nothing out of this world.

The buffet spread is of International buffet style, but it still retains some of the heritage dishes. Starting with something light like fresh salads is a good idea because you have many choices ahead like cherry tomatoes, alfalfa, followed by sashimi salmons and tunas. There was a pasta station as well which was quite good. Asian warm dishes included dim sum, wok-fried beef, oven baked salmon, fried noodles and a bowl of fish maw soup

Heritage dishes were really nice and it is like the food our grandparents use to eat so it’s a renew experience, with Laksa, Mee Siam and Shark Fin soup at the live cooking corner. You get to see all these things are cooked on spot in front of you.

There were various desserts like raisin, banana bread, butter pudding, blueberry tart, walnut banana bread, red bean cake, lemon cake and brownie. And all of them are simply awesome.

Service was on time and staff was very vigilant and friendly. Also, they always keep a smile around guest. The buffet may be also known as peranakan buffet aptly for their authentic dishes and certainly baba desserts. Feast East is surprisingly a decent buffet restaurant choice for its price and location.
