Buffet Review – Ristorante Bologna
Opened in 1987, Ristorante Bologna is sure to get you smacking your fingers to your lips and exclaiming, “Mama Mia!” with an Italian accent. Situated on level 4 of the luxurious Marina Mandarin Hotel Singapore, the elegance of this picturesque restaurant will not be lost on any diner. In the day, sunlight filters in from the windows, while the waterfall feature and soft lights on the alfresco terrace makes the perfect setting for a dinner date, luncheon with a client, or simply a special meal for any occasion.
Make an impression with the authenticity of dishes prepared by Chef Carlo Marengoni and his team of chefs. Pamper yourself with a glass of sparkling Italian wine, then indulge in the variety of foods that servers come round bearing. From an assortment of antipasti, to warm puff pastries that melt in your mouth, as well as must-try pastas such as the Tortellini filled with Parmesan Cheese and Porcini mushroom or black Tagliolini with crabmeat, your taste buds will thank you for the treat. Main courses include equally delightful cod and steak that you will only believe when you try for yourself.
Naturally, such exquisite flavours come at a price. Ranging from $35+ to $60+ per person depending on order, Ristorante Bologna should probably be reserved for special occasions if you are on a budget. However, it is possible to have, for example, a combination of the semi-buffet and an order of pasta/mains from the ala carte menu. This may enable you to find something that works, while still getting to sample one of the finest Western and European cuisines in town.
