Buffet Review – Café Swiss
If you are looking for a convenient and gratifying buffet experience, head down to Café Swiss at Swissotel the Stamford. Located on level 2, you will enjoy a delectable European spread in a spacious and stylish environment.
One of the first things to sing about is the quality of the bread and cheese selection. Soft and fluffy, you may end up smothering piece after piece of bread with cheese and forgetting to save stomach space for the other courses. Next, the smoked salmon and cream cheese from the salad bar whets your appetite for the mains: mouthwatering tenderloin with a special mustard and horseradish sauce that brings out the savoury goodness of the beef, and equally delicious Szechuan kampong chicken. A variety of other dishes, including fish fillets, grilled prawns, and Rosti with mushroom, makes you wish for a truly bottomless stomach.
A must-try is the Raclette cheese, which is prepared right before you and, when melted just right, whisked off the grill and onto your plate. Also, make sure to leave sufficient tummy space for desserts, which include a selection of silky smooth Movenpick ice cream, plump chocolate cream puffs topped with fruits, and rich chocolate mousse, among others.
One of the pricier buffets around, dinner at Café Swiss will set you back by about $50+ per person. However, there are several promotions you can make use of with the right cards. You can also opt for the semi-buffet lunch, which consists of a limited selection plus the option of mains from the ala carte menu. Nonetheless, a meal at Café Swiss, in all of its 5-star glory, is one that you will remember for time to come.
